Booking Policy

Thank you for choosing Brow Boutique. We're honoured to be part of your permanent makeup and aesthetic journey.

Every appointment at Brow Boutique is reserved exclusively for you, allowing us to provide the time, precision and individual attention that each treatment deserves.

Many of our services involve extensive consultation, customised treatment planning and lengthy appointment times, which means your booking is carefully scheduled to ensure the best possible experience for every client.

Our Booking Policy has been designed to create a fair, transparent and consistent experience for both our clients and our team. It outlines everything you need to know before your appointment, including deposits, rescheduling, cancellations, arrival times and other important information to help your visit run as smoothly as possible.

We kindly ask that all clients take a few moments to read through this policy before confirming an appointment. If you have any questions at all, our team is always happy to assist.

By booking an appointment, paying a deposit or attending your appointment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to the Booking Policy outlined below.

Deposits

To secure your appointment, a non-refundable deposit is required for all services.

Your deposit forms part of your treatment fee and will be deducted from your final balance on the day of your appointment.

Deposits must be received within 72 hours of making your booking unless otherwise agreed.

Your appointment remains booked until it is cancelled by either you or Brow Boutique.

Failure to pay the required deposit does not cancel your appointment or exempt you from any applicable cancellation or no-show fees.

Brow Boutique reserves the right to cancel appointments where the required deposit has not been received.

Current deposit amounts are as follows:

New Permanent Makeup / Cosmetic Tattooing Appointments: R800

6–8 Week Touch Ups: R500

Annual Touch Ups: R500

Rescheduling Your Appointment

We understand that life doesn't always go to plan, and we'll always do our best to accommodate changes where possible.

If you need to reschedule your appointment, please notify us at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time.

Appointments rescheduled with more than 48 hours' notice may transfer their deposit to one new appointment, provided the new booking is made within a reasonable timeframe.

Deposits may only be transferred once. Any further rescheduling will require a new deposit to secure the new booking. Rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of your appointment will be subject to our cancellation policy outlined below.

3

Cancellations

We understand that unexpected situations can arise and, where possible, we will always do our best to assist. If you need to cancel your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide us with as much notice as possible.

Appointments cancelled more than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time will not incur any cancellation fees.

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time will be charged the full value of the booked treatment, regardless of whether a deposit has been paid.

Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you, and last-minute cancellations rarely provide sufficient time for us to offer that appointment to another client.

Following a late cancellation, you will be sent a secure payment link to settle the outstanding cancellation fee. Any outstanding balances must be paid in full before any future appointments can be booked.

Failure to attend your appointment, failure to pay the required deposit, or failure to respond to appointment reminders does not constitute cancellation. If you are unable to attend your appointment, it remains your responsibility to notify Brow Boutique in accordance with this policy.

4

No Shows & Late Arrivals

We kindly ask that you arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time to complete any necessary paperwork and ensure your treatment can begin on time.

If you are running late, please let us know as soon as possible. While we will always do our best to accommodate you, late arrival may reduce the time available for your treatment or, where necessary, require your appointment to be rescheduled.

If there is insufficient time remaining to safely or effectively complete your treatment, your appointment may be treated as a no-show and the full treatment fee will remain payable.

Clients who fail to attend their appointment without prior notice will be charged the full value of their booked treatment. A secure payment link will be sent to settle the outstanding balance, and all outstanding fees must be paid in full before any future appointments can be booked.

Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in Brow Boutique declining future bookings at our discretion.

5

Payments

The remaining balance for your treatment is payable on the day of your appointment unless alternative arrangements have been agreed to in writing.

We accept a variety of payment methods for your convenience, including cash, EFT, debit and credit cards, as well as other approved electronic payment methods available at the studio.

Outstanding balances relating to treatments, late cancellations or no-shows must be settled in full before any future appointments can be booked.

Where payment is not received within the requested timeframe, Brow Boutique reserves the right to decline future bookings or recover any outstanding amounts through appropriate means.

6

Guests & Children

To ensure a calm, safe and comfortable experience for all clients, we kindly ask that you attend your appointment alone wherever possible.

Friends and family are welcome to wait in our reception area; however, only clients receiving treatment are permitted in the treatment rooms, unless prior arrangements have been made with our team.

Children are not permitted in the studio unless they are attending a scheduled appointment themselves. As many of our treatments involve the use of needles, sharp instruments, specialised equipment and professional-grade products, we are unable to accommodate children accompanying clients to appointments.

For the safety and wellbeing of our younger clients, Brow Boutique does not perform brow or lash treatments on children under the age of 12, and cosmetic tattooing treatments are strictly limited to clients aged 18 years and older.

If you are unsure whether a treatment is suitable for your child, please contact our team before making a booking.

7

Health & Medical Information

Your health and safety are our highest priority. To ensure that your treatment is both safe and appropriate, it is essential that you provide accurate and up-to-date medical information before your appointment.

Please let us know as soon as possible if there have been any changes to your health, medications or medical history since making your booking. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Recent surgery or cosmetic procedures in the treatment area

  • Prescription medications that may affect healing or your suitability for treatment

  • Skin conditions, infections or irritation in the treatment area

  • Allergies or sensitivities

  • Any contagious illness or symptoms that may place others at risk

Depending on your individual circumstances, we may recommend postponing or modifying your treatment to ensure the safest possible outcome.

Failure to disclose relevant medical information may result in your treatment being postponed or declined, and where this information is only disclosed at your appointment, the cancellation policy may still apply.

If you are unsure whether a medical condition or medication may affect your treatment, we encourage you to contact us before your appointment.

When We May Be Unable to Proceed With Your Treatment

Our first priority is always your safety and achieving the best possible treatment outcome. In some circumstances, we may be unable to proceed with your appointment or may recommend an alternative treatment plan following your consultation.

This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Previous Permanent Makeup that was not disclosed prior to booking or requires correction, removal or a different treatment than originally scheduled.

  • Existing lash extensions booked for a lash lift appointment, or natural lashes that are unsuitable for treatment due to damage or poor lash health.

  • Medical conditions, recent illness or contraindicated medications that may affect healing, increase the risk of complications or make treatment unsuitable.

  • Active infections, inflammation, open wounds or skin conditions in the treatment area.

  • Recent cosmetic procedures that require additional healing time before treatment can safely be performed.

  • Clients who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs, or whose judgement may be impaired.

  • Failure to disclose relevant medical information that may affect the safety or outcome of the treatment.

  • Behaviour that is abusive, threatening or inappropriate towards our team or other clients.

Where possible, we will discuss the reason with you and recommend the most appropriate next step, whether that is rescheduling your appointment, modifying your treatment plan or recommending an alternative treatment.

If your appointment cannot proceed because of information or circumstances that were not disclosed before your appointment, Brow Boutique reserves the right to apply the cancellation policy where applicable.

Touch Ups & Maintenance

Permanent makeup is a multi-step treatment. Your initial appointment creates the foundation, while a touch-up allows us to assess your healed results, make any necessary refinements and perfect the final outcome.

While touch-up appointments are recommended, every client heals differently. Some clients retain pigment exceptionally well, while others may require additional refinement to achieve their desired result.

Our touch-up timeframes are as follows:

  • 6–12 weeks: Qualifies for a First Touch-Up.

  • More than 12 weeks up to 6 months: Charged at the Annual Touch-Up rate.

  • More than 6 months after your initial procedure without a First Touch-Up: Your treatment will be charged as a new procedure, as the original treatment process is considered incomplete.

  • Annual Touch-Ups: To qualify for annual pricing, your previous Brow Boutique permanent makeup treatment must have been completed within the last 18 months. Treatments older than 18 months will be charged as a new procedure.

Please note that these timeframes apply only to treatments originally performed by Brow Boutique. Permanent makeup completed by another artist will require an assessment before pricing and treatment recommendations can be confirmed.

As healed results vary between individuals, additional appointments may occasionally be recommended to achieve the safest and most aesthetically pleasing outcome. Where applicable, these appointments will be quoted separately.

Additional Information

To ensure the best possible experience and treatment outcome, we kindly ask that you keep the following in mind:

  • Previous permanent makeup, cosmetic tattooing or treatments performed by another artist must be disclosed before booking. Failure to disclose previous work may result in your treatment plan changing following your consultation or assessment.

  • Photographs submitted before your appointment are used for an initial assessment only. Your treatment recommendation may change following an in-person consultation.

  • Clinical photographs may be taken before, during and after your treatment for your client record. With your permission, these images may also be used for educational or marketing purposes.

  • Brow Boutique reserves the right to postpone, modify or decline treatment where it is considered unsafe, unsuitable or not in your best interests.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who displays abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour towards our team or other clients.

  • Prices, policies and treatment recommendations may be updated from time to time. The most current version of our Booking Policy will always be available on our website.
